Please read before you rent! When you rent a motorcycle from Alaska Rider Tours, the moment you sign our waivers and throw a leg over the saddle, the bike is YOUR responsibility. Requirements Rider must be 25 years of age or older Rider must have 3 years riding experience on 600 cc or larger motorcycle Rider must have a Valid Motorcycle License (permits not accepted) Rider must provide a damage deposit in the form of a credit card (visa or mastercard only) or cash. *Anyone arriving without a valid motorcycle license/endorsment or credit card/cash for a damage deposit at the time of rental will not be refunded! Discount List Discounts apply to 24 hour and longer rentals only! Discounts do not apply to tours or self-guided tours. HOG Members: 15% (Harley-Davidson Rentals Only) (HOG members must have own HOG card or number. (No sharing cards for discounts) BMW MOA Members: 10% (BMW Rentals Only) Law Enforcement: 10% Fire Department: 10% Military:10% Commercial Flight Crew: 10% Pilots License:10% *Only one type of discount may be applied to a rental. *Discounts do not apply to rentals over 13 days. *Discounts do not apply to Prudhoe Bay/Inuvik trips. Payment and Reservations We require a $500 Deposit for all Motorcycle rentals, if the total amount of the rental is under $500, the full amount of the rental will be considered the deposit. The Balance for all rentals is due 30 days before the start date. Cancellations Damage Deposit At the time of rental a $1000 or $2000 (for bikes over 900cc) damage deposit is required in the form of a credit authorization. We accept visa, mastercard or cash. No debit cards will be accepted for the damage deposit. Bike Recovery Our Recovery Policy covers a general 300 mile radius, including the entire Kenai Peninsula, Valdez, McCarthy, Tok, and Fairbanks. Beyond that area we charge $300 dollars for recovery except North of the Arctic Circle and anywhere in Canada we charge $500. Insurance Most riders' personal insurance does not cover rentals, please check with your insurance company. Our fleet of motorcycles is covered for liability only, not comprehensive or collision. The rider is responsible for any and all damages to the motorcycle during the rental period. i.e. "you break it you buy it." Additional coverage may be purchased in the form of a Loss Damage Waiver, which is an agreement between Alaska Rider Tours and the Renter. The Loss Damage Waiver (LDW), at a price of $25 per riding day, covers any and all damages beyond $2000. Under the LDW the rider is responsible for the first $2000 damage. a week *No refunds will be given for early returns. *No returns after hours. *Late returns will be subject to additional fees.
