When the 18-wheeler coming at me hit the pot hole and splashed water and rocks on my face shield, I realized that this is no normal ride! This years' Edge of the Continent Tour in June had fantastic weather, great rider camaraderie, and was full of adventure. Indeed, the Dalton Highway is no Sunday Drive. The riders were up to the task, and we spent 14 adventure-filled days, exploring the backroads of Alaska. This was also the inaugural launch of our first company Yacht. Though it only cost $40, and is remote control, I really do believe this a grand symbolic leap in the right direction.

Jack shows us that there is still gold in them thar hills.
Jennifer shows off her golden touch.
As you can see, the hotsprings at Circle are still closed...that is...unless you have a bottle of Chardonnay for the right person...
The start of one of the most adventurous roads in the world. On our way south, we crossed a group of Harleys headed north to Prudhoe. They did not fare so well. This road is slippery and remote. To enjoy riding it, consider riding the correct bike, something that is made for the dirt: the lighter, the safer.

Yukon River Camp: Basic but much better than a tent in swarming mosquitos!
Dr. Greg Frazier, exhibiting the mammalian marking behavior, arguably an instinct inherent in the more complex social omnivorous hierarchies. 2007 Aerostich Alaska Pics Tour #2
A nice day to check out the small gold mining town of Wiseman.
Phil Turner enjoys the downtown area.
The largest monument in town...

When you climb over the pass, keep your eyes out for Sheep.
Riding north on the Slope.
Caribou were scattered all over as we made the final push to Prudhoe Bay.
Ungulate Traffic Jam
A town like no other, Deadhorse (aka Prudhoe Bay), features a rather industrial sky line.
The gas station in Deadhorse is informal, to say the least. No one around, some hoses, and directions on how to use them inside. It is not uncommon to line up behind a front end loader and a tour bus while waiting for gas. 2007 Aerostich Alaska Pics Tour #2
Tam gets ready for the Arctic Ocean Plunge. It is obvious he is scared, and not trying to show it.
Beach front property, Arctic Ocean. In order to become a bonafide "Polar Bear" club member, one must submerge their entire body in the very cold water.
Say "cheese". 2007 Aerostich Alaska Pics Tour #2
