Alaska Peninsula

The Alaska Peninsula is one of the world's premier hunting and fishing areas. This remote, 500-mile long strip of land is a land of superlatives. It is home to the world's largest population of Brown Bears, the world's largest Moose, the largest Caribou, the largest concentration of migratory geese as well as the world's largest run of salmon.

Grizzly Skins of Alaska is not a high volume, high dollar luxury lodge. Instead you will be a guest at our family's 40 acre wilderness homestead within Becherof National Wildlife Refuge and adjoining Katmai National Park. The scenery is spectacular and the terrain varies from low rolling tundra to towering, snow covered volcanoes.

Accommodation, while not luxurious, is comfortable enough for year around use by our family. There are separate bunk houses for guests with hot showers. With no more than four guests at a time you will receive personal attention as well as a varied outdoor adventure agenda.

Dinner at the main lodge. Home cooked meals, fresh baked bread and deserts, and friendly conversation are the norm.
We make full use of our barbecue!
We use this "Producer" (a four-seater Super Cub) to get to the spots you want to see. We can access places where no people go!
Grizzly Skins of Alaska is made up of Phil, Tia, and Rochelle. Their boy Taj is in College getting smart right now, and is flying around the state in his own airplane. Tia (center) , their daughter helps guide and is working on her own pilots license. Phil is a Master Guide and has been living with his wife Rocky in Bush Alaska for almost 20 years.
Rocky out flyfishing around camp. There are several unnamed streams close to camp. Mt. Pulic is the volcano in the background.
Friends you may meet out fishing....
