Itinerary:

Friday, June 27th: Anchorage
Please arrive by this day to take part in the welcome
dinner this evening, at one of Alaska's premier restaurants.
Stay at hotel in Anchorage

Saturday, June 28th: Anchorage to Talkeetna
- 114 miles
Motorcycle pick-up, safety briefing, and we are on our way
north! Talkeetna has a funky frontier feel, so much so that the TV show Northern Exposure was based on it. Stay in Talkeetna.

Sunday, June 29th: Talkeetna to Fairbanks
- 278 miles

We ride past the tallest mountain on the continent this
day, Mt. McKinley. The Parks Highway winds through the
Alaska Range, past the Denali National Park Entrance,
and on to Fairbanks. Stay in Fairbanks.

Monday, June 30th: Rest day at Chena Hotsprings
- 56 miles
Relax at the Chena Hotsprings resort, a naturally occuring mineral hotspring comparable to pools found in Europe. Indulge in the outdoor pools, take a hot stone massage, or a dog sled cart ride. Don't forget to check out the Ice Museum, complete with the Stoli Ice Bar, where everything from your martini glass to your stool is made of ice (the stools are covered with caribou hide for comfort). Stay at the Chena Hotsprings Resort.

Tuesday, July 1st: Fairbanks to Paxson
- 253 miles

We ride south through the Alaska Range at Isabel Pass
on the Richardson Highway. The road winds past Isabel
Glacier
and along the shores of Summit Lake.
Stay at Tangle River Inn.

Wednesday, July 2nd: Paxson to Valdez
- 186 miles

We continue south to the ocean. This day features the
spectacular views of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park,Thompson
Pass
, and Keystone Canyon. Check out two waterfalls so beautiful
they rival those found in Yosemite National Park: Bridal Veil Falls,
and Horsetail Falls. A short ride from the waterfalls is Worthington Glacier, yet another incredible feat of nature.
Stay in Valdez.

Thursday, July 3rd: Rest day in Valdez

A little riding, a little relaxing....spend the day in one of Alaska's most beautiful settings, in this quaint little fishing town.

Other activities include:

-Sea Kayaking

-Glacier Cruise

-Hiking

-Shopping

-Fishing

-Relaxing

-Exploring around the town and surrounding areas

Friday, July 4th: Valdez to Matanuska Glacier area
- 195 miles
We ride west on the Glenn Highway this day. After the stunning mountains of the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, we'll hit the vistas beyond the rolling tundra. Stay at the Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge, a handcrafted log lodge with top-notch cuisine. Enjoy a stroll around the grounds or a hike on the trails to see the wildlife--particularly the Dall Sheep that inhabit that area.

Saturday, July 5th: Majestic Valley Lodge to Anchorage -113 miles

Finish the day with some excellent new pavement. We'll pass by the Matanuska Glacier.
The highway was freshly paved in August of 2006, and the scenery is stunning. If there is extra time on this day, and folks are still hungry to ride, there are several bonus riding options before the Farewell dinner at one of the finest restaurants in Anchorage. That night, stay in Anchorage.
