The Carreterra Austral, southern Chile.

Lake Yelmo, Chile. Big mountains.

A few new motorcycle converts. (Notice the abandoned bike in the background, to be switched for a motorcycle, the minute they get credit cards.)(That is what one on the left said to me.)

Swimming in a clear lake near Bolson, Argentina.

Secluded camping at a music festival.

The seven lakes district, near San Martin, Argentina.

Mt. Osorno, Chile

Monkey Puzzle Trees, high in the Andes.

White horse, desert and trout stream near San Junin de los Andes, Argentina.

The thermal baths at Copahue

Flat tire (again) on the way back to Buenos Aires. The fix-a-flat worked this time...at least got us in to town.

After so many miles on these back tires, it was time we called Carlos, Motocare's representative in Nuquen. He had our tires switched out immediately.

When approaching and leaving Buenos Aires, you must stop to pay to continue on the highway. However, many of the more distant stations from B.A. let motorcycle go free.

Here are my police friends I made in a small farming town. They were happy to take me off the street and to the station for, what seemed to me, something to do out of the usual.

A big hand for Mariano, and his great service at Motocare!

Ending picture: Yes, anything is possible, even jumping your snowboard over a car in the desert.

Patagonia is safe, wild, and beautiful. I hope that you all have a chance to go there and experience it!!

If anyone is interested in such a trip south, don't hesitate

to call or write!
