Please be in Anchorage by mid-afternoon.
Airport pick-up service on request.
Motorcycle pick-up and orientation ride if
time allows. Dinner in Girdwood. Stay in
Girdwood.
August 9th: Monday
Girdwood to Talkeetna
140 to 200 miles/30 miles dirt
Ride winding coastline
highway and high
alpine road to Talkeetna. Cross over the
Hatcher pass 2,300 ft. summit to
Talkeetna. Enjoy breathtaking
switchbacks and alpine vistas. Dinner TBA.
Overnight in Talkeetna.
August 10th: Tuesday
Talkeetna to Gracious House, Denali Hwy
200 miles/52miles dirt
Morning visit to Talkeetna. Ride
through
Broad Pass and down the Denali
Highway with breathtaking alpine scenery.
Dinner TBD. Overnight mid-way on the
Denali Highway at a family-run roadhouse
called Gracious House.
August 11th: Wednesday
Gracious House to Copper Center
192 miles/ 83 miles dirt
Ride above tree line
and enjoy the peaks
and glaciers of the Alaska Range and
Wrangell Mountains. Dinner TBA.
Overnight in Copper Center.
August 12th: Thursday
Free day in Copper Center area
Choose your adventure: ride in
Wrangell-
St. Elias National Park, explore the Glenn
Highway, fish, flight-see, or just relax!
Dinner TBA. Stay in Copper Center.
August 13th: Friday
Copper Center to Valdez
110 miles (Side-trip to Chitina Possible)
Ride to Valdez through Thompson Pass
(elev. 2,678 ft.) with jagged mountains,
winding road, and massive glaciers.
Explore Worthington Glacier. Ride
through narrow Keystone Canyon with
cascading waterfalls, rock walls, and sharp
turns. Salmon fish or explore Valdez.
Dinner TBA. Stay in Valdez.
August 14th: Saturday
Valdez to Anchorage - 52 miles
Cross
Prince William Sound via ferry to
Whittier. Enjoy the gorgeous Chugach
National Forest. Pass the Columbia Glacier,
one of the largest tide water glaciers in
the world. Ride to Anchorage. Drop off
bikes. 5-star Farewell Dinner in
Anchorage. Stay in Anchorage.
